The Sciath na Scol competition has started again. 13 girls from 6th and 4 girls from 5th have been chosen to represent the school. We had our first match on Wednesday 27th against Glasheen. Everyone took their positions and within the first few minutes Abigail had scored a goal. However, Glasheen came back into it and there was a tense few minutes with Julie making some excellent saves on the goal line. At half time we were 1 up. The second half got off to a great start again as Abbey scored another goal. There were a few close calls as the second half went on. Saoirse narrowly missed a goal near the end of the match but with about 2 minutes left, she was not going to miss again. She picked up the ball from midfield, soloed down the pitch and hit the back of the net. There was no stopping it. Final score was 3-0 to Sunday’s Well. The girls were delighted with their start to the competition. Up next GS Mhachan on Monday 1st!!!

Camogie- Match 2

The girls continued their winning streak with a great win against GS Mhachan. Captained by Mannie, the girls played extremely well as a team and ended up winning 4-1. Abigail Wieloch did a great job in goal in the second half and managed to keep the scoreline low. Up next, we have a game against Scoil Padre Pio on Thursday 4th. This will be a tough match but hopefully it will be another Sunday’s Well win!!!
