On behalf of Sunday’s Well Girls’ National School and community, I am delighted to welcome you to our website, which will give you a window into the world of Sunday’s Well GNS.
Our school was built in the 1970s and continues the provision of education of girls in the Blarney Road, Shankiel and surrounding areas which commenced in Strawberry Hill in 1890.
Such is the level of our success and growth that we are soon to commence an extension of 2 further classrooms and S.E.T. rooms.
At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and Sunday’s Well Girls’ is no exception. Our vibrant staff are trained in instructional best practices and demonstrate a huge commitment to the education and well being of all our pupils.
We provide a very high standard of education within a happy caring environment. Through a broad, balanced, educational experience we endeavour to ensure that our pupils reach their full potential.
We have built and nurture strong links with our other school partners (Board of Management ,Parents’ Association, Patron) and Community Organisations – all strive to provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.
We have created an atmosphere of mutual respect and an expectation of the highest standards of behaviour, of work ethic and of personal achievement. Our school fosters inclusiveness, spirituality, individuality, difference and the development of all our talents. We strive to empower pupils to meet the challenges of education and of life.
